Joining the Society

Anyone can join Melrose Amateur Operatic Society as a performing or non-performing member.

As a performing member you may join your fellow enthusiasts at rehearsals, put on a yearly show in March and have the opportunity to participate in the annual concerts. Please see our Performing Members Policy for more information.

There are many ways for non-performing members to join in and help the Society. During the year there’s a need for people with word processing, desktop publishing and graphic design skills. There are also general administration, minute taking and event organisation activities. At show time you can be involved in scene construction, back stage work, make up and front of house activities.

There is an annual membership subscription of £15 - payable by the end of November - which together with the support we receive from our patrons and sponsors helps maintain the Society - please see Supporting the Society for details.
